0 THE STORY OF AN EXCHANGED WIFE

Long ago there was a faithful wife, his name is Sarah. He was appointed as a daughter by her husband who is very wealthy and aristocratic descent, his name Arman. Although Princess Sarah comes from a modest family, he has smart, wise, and noble character. Because he comes from a poor family than with her husband , she often treated improperly.

One day she and her husband went to the fisherman village and she saw there was a poor fisherman and his wife. The fisherman was very poor and even he  he was not able to buy new nets to replace his torn one.

The fisherman 's wife is young and beautiful, but spendthrift, lazy and like to gamble, All of her husband's income is used to dissipate.

Seeing this reality, Princess Sarah said to her husband, that the fisherman 's wife should help her husband mending his nets.

Arman oppose his wife's opinion. They argue, so Arman was angry and then call the poor fisherman. He then redeem to exchange daughter Sarah with the fisherman 's wife. Princess Sarah was sad because she felt humiliated, treated her husband as if he were the items that can be exchanged as he want. The fisherman was stunned and did not dare to argue, as Arman was cruel and sadistic for its wealth.

Princess Sarah helping her new husband in the works diligently. Because of Princess Sarah's intelligence and wisdom, the fisherman gradually become rich.

One time there was an old man with tattered clothes and neglected come to Princes Sarah's home. She asked her servant the release the old man's sandals and put it on the corner of Princess Sarah home. The servant brought the sandals to Princes Sarah and tells the owner. Recognizing the sandals the princess asked his servant to give new clothes, new sandals and 3 pieces of gold and a message: " I have not inherited wealth but character, wisdom and willingness to work."

The old man is Arman who is poor and left by his second wife.

The story is simple, but touching because the wife had a big influence to her husband.

Therefore, Women, accompany and support your partner with compassion and wisdom. And men, treat women with compassion and not overbearing. It is important to know that near every successful man there is a woman who always support and pray for him.

Tujuan komunikatif dari News Items Text adalah memberitakan kepada pembaca, pendengar atau penonton tentang peristiwa-peristiwa atau kejadian-kejadian yang dipandang penting atau layak diberitakan.

C. Generic Structure News Item Text

Pada teks bahasa Inggris yang berjenis News Item Text, terdapat tiga bagian dalam setiap struktur kebahasaannya, yaitu:

1. Newsworthy Event
Bagian pertama dari struktur kebahasaan News Item Text yang sering disebut Main Event adalah bagian yang menceritakan atau berisi berita tentang peristiwa atau kejadian inti yang biasanya dalam bentuk ringkasan atau Summary.

2. Backgroud Event
Bagian kedua dari struktur kebahasaan News Item Text atau yang sering disebut juga dengan Elaboration adalah bagian yang menceritakan atau berisi tentang latar belakang peristiwa atau kejadian, siapa yang terlibat dan di mana tempat kejadiannya.

3. Source
Bagian terakhir dari struktur kebahasaan News Item Text adalah bagian yang menceritakan atau berisi tentang komentar, saksi kejadian, pendapat para ahli, dsb. mengenai peristiwa atau kejadian yang diberitakan.

Seven Killed in Accident on Jalan Sultan

Newsworthy Event
Seven people were killed in a collision between a bus, a car and a truck at 10:35 p.m. on Jalan Sultan last night.

Backgroud Event
The dead were all passengers in the car. Police believe the car may have been trying to overtake the bus when it was struck by a truck coming from the opposite direction. The driver of the car may not have been using his lights, as the truck driver said he did not see the car approaching.

Sources
The police said the car should not have been trying to pass the bus, since overtaking is not allowed on Jalan Sultan. In addition, the police reported that the car–a small Japanese car–should not have been carrying more than five people. The names of the victims are not yet known.
